Strengthening our neighborhoods
When 16 schoolteachers founded OnPoint in 1932, their goal was to create a place where they could safely save and borrow money. Their success built bright futures for their families and future members. From the very beginning, they shared their good fortune with their neighbors in need, a tradition we continue today through our community outreach programs.
"Giving back to the communities
we serve is an important part of
the OnPoint mission. We all benefit
when our neighbors have the
power to improve their lives."
– Robert Stuart, President/CEO
OnPoint Community Credit Union
Recognizing both our level of commitment to the community and the variety of opportunities available, OnPoint created an employee-managed Community Relations Committee in 2002. The Committee directs donations and community participation as directed by our Community Relations Plan. The mission of the plan is to help empower people to improve the quality of their lives.
OnPoint is honored to support people that are passionate about answering the needs of our community and the organizations they serve. They inspire us every day.
Programs and partnerships
Here is just a sampling of some of the recent programs and initiatives we support.
Our Home, Our Schools
This exciting new community initiative is the culmination of our partnership with the Portland Housing Center and Fidelity National Title. The program is designed to empower people with information and resources needed to buy their first home, become leaders in their communities and strengthen neighborhood schools.
Credit Unions for Kids
This program benefits Portland's Doernbecher Children's Hospital and the pediatric units at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Eugene and Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford. The program also supports the Children's Miracle Network's 170 affiliated children's hospitals around the country.
Schools and Foundations
OnPoint supports numerous schools and educational foundations with grants, internship programs and scholarships.

Celebrating 75 years of service
In honor of our 75th anniversary, OnPoint recently donated $75,000 to 10 local organizations.
