OnPoint Community Credit Union Announces Plans to Enter Clark County, Washington
Charter expansion will bring services to growing member base
September 18, 2007
Portland, OR --- OnPoint Community Credit Union, Oregon's largest credit union, announced that a new charter expansion will allow it to move into Clark County, Wash., where it will be able to open branches to better serve a growing member base.
"We already have 6,300 members in Clark County and are adding more each month," said President/CEO Rob Stuart. "We believe these members will benefit from the same services we offer our Oregon members, including convenient branch locations."
The charter expansion means anyone who lives or works in Clark County will be eligible to join OnPoint Community Credit Union.
No date has been set for opening the first branch but Stuart said OnPoint currently is searching for convenient locations in and around Vancouver. A new branch in Clark County would bring the total number of OnPoint branches to 12.
OnPoint is one of Oregon's oldest credit unions, having been formed in 1932. The credit union will celebrate its 75th anniversary in late 2007.
OnPoint Community Credit Union is the largest credit union in Oregon, serving more than 183,000 members and with assets of $2.5 billion. Founded in 1932, OnPoint Community Credit Union's field of membership includes everyone who lives or works in 10 designated Oregon counties (Benton, Clackamas, Columbia, Lane, Linn, Marion, Multnomah, Polk, Washington and Yamhill).
