Oregon’s OnPoint Community Credit Union Announces Locations, Managers for Clark County, Washington, Branches

Grand opening for all branches planned June 14

May 16, 2008

Portland, OR --- OnPoint Community Credit Union, Oregon’s largest with 186,000 members and $2.6 billion in assets, has announced the locations and managers for its three new Vancouver, Wash., branches.

OnPoint’s President/CEO Rob Stuart said the first branch will open May 30, followed by two additional branches opening on June 6 and June 13.

OnPoint also said a community-wide grand opening celebration will be hosted at all three branches from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sat., June 14. OnPoint will sponsor a "Supermarket Sweep," with one winner at each branch taking home all of the groceries that can be loaded into a grocery cart in three minutes. OnPoint will then match the cash value for each "sweep" and present a check to a local food bank.

"We’re here to serve not only our 6,400 existing OnPoint members, but new members as well. At the same time, we want Vancouver to know that OnPoint will be a good citizen-partner in the community," Stuart said.

All three branches will be located within area Safeway stores where an estimated 10,000 consumers per month will walk by OnPoint’s new lobbies. A number of new technology features, including deposit automation ATMs and instant issue debit cards will make banking easier for the credit union’s current and future members. (visit www.onpointcu.com for more information).

The branches are the first to open since OnPoint announced its charter expansion into Washington State in the fall of 2007. The charter expansion allows anyone who lives or works in Clark and Skamania counties to become a member.

With these additions, OnPoint will have 14 branches in Oregon and southwest Washington.

OnPoint Announces Vancouver Branch Managers

Tory McVay, senior vice president/retail delivery, announced the following managers at the new branches:

Shawn Kelly will be the manager at the new OnPoint Andresen branch at 6711 N.E. 63rd St., which will open May 30. Kelly managed four branches and the call center for Pacific Northwest Federal Credit Union and has previous management experience with Key Bank and US Bank. He also was regional sales manager for Safeway Select Bank.

Alex Orlov will manage the Burton branch at 2615 N.E. 112th Ave., scheduled to open June 6. Orlov previously was a member relationship officer at OnPoint’s Mall 205 branch in Portland. His prior positions were with M Bank and Bank of America where he held several management positions. Orlov is a graduate of the University of Phoenix and is fluent in Russian.

Kevin Kelly has been named branch manager for OnPoint’s 13023 N.E. Highway 99 Salmon Creek branch, scheduled to open June 13. Kelly joined OnPoint two years ago from US Bank and has been a member relationship officer at the OnPoint Kruse Way branch in Lake Oswego, Ore. Kelly is a University of Oregon graduate.

In making the announcements, McVay said, "We feel so fortunate to have these three outstanding individuals help launch our first branches in Washington State. They are all experienced in providing the highest quality member service and I know they will be an asset to the community, as well as to OnPoint."
