What is a CLABE and when is it required?
« Back to Member AssistanceThe CLABE (Clave Bancaria Estandardizada), or standardized banking cipher, is a banking standard for the numbering of bank accounts in Mexico. The CLABE account code is made of 18 digits. The CLABE number is required on all wires sent to Mexico. The CLABE account number must be obtained from the beneficiary.
For beneficiary accounts in Mexico, a CLABE code is required.
