OnPoint Community Credit Union to Open New Branches in the Springfield, Santa Clara, Albany and South Salem Fred Meyer Stores

Four new in-store branches will open in July 2021

PORTLAND, Ore., July 15, 2021 – OnPoint Community Credit Union announced today it will open new branches in Fred Meyer’s Springfield, Santa Clara, Albany and South Salem stores in July 2021. These four branches include the Springfield Branch, located at 650 Q St., Springfield, the Santa Clara Branch, located at 60 Division Ave., Eugene, the Albany Branch, located at 2500 Santiam Hwy. SE, Albany, and the South Salem Branch, located at 3450 Commercial St. SE, Salem. These branch openings will conclude the credit union’s 20-branch expansion that began in March 2021, bringing its total to 55 branches across Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Each new OnPoint in-store branch will provide members with a complete suite of financial services, including membership enrollment, consumer and commercial lending, mortgages, financial planning, ATM and notarization. The Fred Meyer OnPoint branches will also offer existing and new members special grand opening offers through the end of the year, including a $200 bonus for new members.*

In celebration of these latest openings, OnPoint will donate $10,000 to local organizations serving Springfield, Santa Clara, Albany and Salem. Springfield Branch, 650 Q St., Springfield, OR 97477
Opening July 21, 2021

Brad Unger will serve as Branch Manager of OnPoint’s new Springfield location. Unger has been in the financial services industry for 21 years, previously serving as a Branch Manager, Assistant Branch Manager, Mortgage Loan Officer and Personal Banker. Unger and his wife live in Eugene with their two daughters and dog. In his spare time, he loves to run, play golf and travel with his family. Brad is a native Oregonian and loves to cheer on the Portland Trail Blazers and the University of Oregon Ducks.

OnPoint will donate $2,500 to Bags of Love, an organization that creates care packages for Lane County children in foster care or experiencing poverty, neglect, abuse or homelessness. A Bag of Love provides children with essentials including clothing, toiletries, toys, books, school supplies, and a handmade quilt or fleece blanket. Since 2008, A Bag of Love has supported 20,000 Lane County children through partnerships with government agencies, non-profit organizations and school districts. In 2020, Bags of Love responded to meet the community’s needs during the COVID-19 pandemic, serving more than 3,000 children.

Opening July 23, 2021

Brandon Drivon will serve as the Branch Manager of OnPoint’s new Santa Clara Branch in Eugene. Drivon has been in the financial services industry for 10 years and has been with OnPoint since 2019, serving previously as an Assistant Branch Manager. He lives in Eugene and in his spare time he pilots a single engine aircraft, spends time in the outdoors, travels, snowboards and wakeboards.

OnPoint will donate $2,500 to Alvord-Taylor, a group homebased in Lane County that offers support to young adults with disabilities. Since 1970, Alvord-Taylor has helped people with disabilities live quality lives in the community. Alvord-Taylor owns more than 18 homes and serves over 80 people in the Eugene-Springfield area, with programs focused on facilitating independence and building personal opportunities. Alvord-Taylor also helps people with disabilities find employment and live independently in their own homes.

Opening July 28, 2021

Miguel Bedolla will serve as the Branch Manager of OnPoint’s new Albany Location. Bedolla has been in the financial services industry for eight years, serving previously as Assistant Branch Manager and a Financial Advocate. In his spare time, he enjoys working on cars, drinking good coffee, being in the outdoors and cheering for the Los Angeles Lakers.

OnPoint will donate $2,500 to the Boys and Girls Club of Albany, which aims to provide a safe, fun and supervised environment for boys and girls from all backgrounds, focusing on those from historically underserved communities. Albany’s local chapter of the national Boys & Girls Club helps children develop self-esteem and qualities needed to become caring and responsible citizens through education, career development, health and wellness, character and leadership, sports and recreation, and arts youth programs.

Opening July 30, 2021

Laura Martinez will serve as the Branch Manager of OnPoint’s new South Salem location. Martinez has been in the financial services industry for 17 years, and has been with OnPoint since 2019, serving as an Assistant Branch Manager. She and her husband live in Salem with their four children, and has been part of the community for 29 years. In her spare time, Laura enjoys cheering for the Portland Trail Blazers, watching movies and taking road trips to amusement parks.

OnPoint will donate $2,500 to Marion Polk Food Share, a non-profit organization helping to end hunger in Marion and Polk counties. Every month, more than 46,000 people, including 15,000 children, access emergency food through the Marion Polk Food Share partner network. The organization works with over 100 partner agencies, including community shelters, churches, local food pantries, senior housing sites, meal sites, foster homes and low-income daycares. Marion Polk Food Share also supports programs that address the root cause of hunger, such as community gardens, job skills training programs and The Youth Farm.
