Bend Electric Bikes

Central Oregon’s home for electric and cargo bikes since 2008.

“Work in retail, work in service, build your financial literacy.” — Kathy McCord

Opened in 2008, Bend Electric Bikes has Central Oregon’s best selection of electric bikes and cargo bikes. Also offering a full service and repair department, hourly and daily rentals, and knowledgeable staff, they provide customers a welcoming atmosphere that fosters a lifelong love of cycling. Bend Electric Bikes continues to grow in sales and service because of a commitment to consistent, reliable, and well-equipped alternative transportation. They look forward to serving and supporting Bend’s bike-riding community for years to come.

Every day, we get to meet people eager to get outside and ride bikes more. It’s not just about selling bikes—it’s about building a local community, promoting alternative transportation, and helping people feel more connected to where they live. Plus, we love staying hands-on with the bikes and the latest tech. It’s great to run a business that’s making a real impact.

The K9 Swim Center

Helping dogs heal, swim, and thrive in Eugene and Springfield since 2018.

"Success is anything that leaves the world a little better than before." — Steve Crane, Owner

The K9 Swim Center’s goal is to help your dog live its best life! A warm water dog therapy swimming center, they offer guided therapy swims for dogs with mobility issues, as well as for exercise, and even just for fun. Established in 2018, the Swim Center provides a unique solution to healing and health in Eugene/Springfield’s dog community. Many of their customers’ dogs don’t have the ability to get meaningful exercise to assist in healing or continued health―older dogs with mobility issues can find it painful to go on longer walks.

“Success is anything that leaves the world a little bit better than before,” says owner Steve Crane. “Running a business that helps people help their best friends is as much as an achievement as one could ask for.”

Puzzle Weekend

Modern puzzles and curated gifts designed to bring people together, piece by piece.

"There’s a special kind of joy in connecting over something so simple yet meaningful." — Jennifer Andrew, Co-founder

Like many people, Jennifer Andrew and her sister-in-law, Kelly Richards, turned to puzzles during the height of the pandemic―a nostalgic comfort they hadn’t revisited since childhood. It quickly became a staple, starting with family and eventually leading to full-on puzzle weekends with friends. Those weekends, spent unplugged and gathered around a table, inspired them to create something others could share and enjoy. That idea became Puzzle Weekend.

Based in Washougal, Puzzle Weekend offers modern jigsaw puzzles for adults and curated gifts for puzzle lovers. In addition to a curated collection of puzzles, they also carry stationery, self-care items, and more, so customers can build personalized gift boxes. They even produce an original line of puzzles, collaborating with different artists from around the world.

“One of the biggest surprises has been the community,” Andrew notes. “We never expected to find such a warm, welcoming group of puzzle lovers online. There’s a special kind of joy in connecting over something so simple yet meaningful. We also discovered how passionate and creative the puzzle community is, and it’s been a gift to become part of that world.”
