OnPoint Community Credit Union Opens First Newberg Branch

New location provides the community with easy access to a full suite of financial services, financial education tools and resources

PORTLAND, Ore., October 16, 2023 – OnPoint Community Credit Union will open its first branch in Newberg on October 27, 2023, increasing the community’s access to financial services. OnPoint’s new Newberg Branch, at 4105 E Crestview Drive, Ste. 105, Newberg, OR 97132, is its 57^th branch to serve Oregon and Southwest Washington. OnPoint will be marking the new location with a donation to Newberg Area Habitat for Humanity and a grand opening event.

Branch details and special member promotions

OnPoint’s Newberg Branch will offer the community a robust suite of financial services, including new membership enrollment, consumer and commercial lending, mortgages, financial planning, ATM and notarization. The community is invited to meet the OnPoint Newberg Branch staff at the grand opening event on Saturday, November 18, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and enter for the chance to win a $500 Visa gift card^*.

Kevin Kelly will serve as Branch Manager of OnPoint’s new Newberg Branch. Kelly has been with OnPoint since 2006 and has served as a branch manager for the past 14 years. He has received several accolades over the course of his career, including being an OnPoint Honor Society award winner. During his tenure as a branch manager, Kelly has opened four other OnPoint branches, including Salmon Creek, Sellwood, Stadium and Lombard. He also earned his Bachelor of Science degree in communication from the University of Oregon.

OnPoint’s new branch will provide educational tools and resources to support the financial health of the community. Members of the new Newberg Branch will also have access to confidential and complimentary one-on-one financial counseling, debt management services, and financial education resources through OnPoint’s partnership with GreenPath Financial Wellness.

Strengthening community ties

In celebration of the Newberg Branch opening, OnPoint will donate $5,000 to Newberg Area Habitat for Humanity. Newberg Area Habitat for Humanity is a local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International and builds homes to house local families who fall within the gross household income bracket of 25-60% of Area Median Income.  Its mission is to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing. Their work helps stabilize housing circumstances for families, who may otherwise experience rent increases or have to move every few years.  Partner families put in sweat equity, helping build their own homes alongside dozens of volunteers, including corporate and church build teams, from the surrounding community.

College St. and are currently purchasing two more lots in Newberg.”
