The OnPoint Spotlight is an ongoing blog series that highlights our employees, celebrating the drive and personality of individuals on our team. It’s one way we show our appreciation for their hard work and achievements while helping our community get to know the people who make things happen here at OnPoint.
This week’s employee spotlight is on Sarah Mode, Teller Operations Supervisor at the McMinnville Branch. Sarah joined OnPoint in 2013 as a Teller and loves hanging out with her daughter and fur baby and being outdoors—especially in the woods.
Here’s what Sarah had to share about her life and time at OnPoint:
What were you doing before joining OnPoint or taking on your current role?
I was a part-time Teller at OnPoint for six years and then left to go into the medical field for a short time. I quickly realized that I missed the people at OnPoint and that working for the credit union was my passion. What I love most about OnPoint are the relationships I’ve built with coworkers and members. I have met so many amazing people working at the McMinnville Branch!
What are you passionate about?
I love animals—I have a 13-year-old dog named Charli and two Siamese cats named Winnie and Poe. I would love to own property one day and be able to help rescue and foster every animal I could.
If you could have a superpower, what would you choose?
Teleportation. It would be amazing not to drive everywhere and always be on time.
What is the one food or dish you will never eat?
I have to pass on pickles. I will never eat them or anything that has pickles.
If you could be on any TV game show, which would it be?
If I could be on any TV game show it would be Family Feud. Who wouldn’t want to win up to $100,000 and a new car?
Have you (or would you) ever skydive?
I have never skydived, but I would love to try it!
How do you maintain a work/life balance?
I love to sleep and get a good amount of it. I also work hard and enjoy every minute of life.
