Employee Spotlight with Caitlin Curtis

The OnPoint Spotlight is an ongoing blog series that highlights our employees, celebrating the drive and personality of individuals on our team. It’s one way we show our appreciation for their hard work and achievements while helping our community get to know the people who make things happen here at OnPoint.

caitlin curtis employee spotlight onpoint cu This week’s employee spotlight is on Caitlin Curtis, Branch Operations Supervisor at the new Ridgefield Branch. Her goal for Ridgefield is to make it a community staple by providing exceptional service and supporting local initiatives. She’s worked to create meaningful community partnerships and ensure members see the branch as a welcoming part of Ridgefield’s growth. She wants our new branch to feel as if we have been a part of this community for years and be a space where members feel welcome. Born and raised in Portland, she has been an OnPoint member since her childhood and PTCU days. In her spare time, she travels to as many national parks as I can (12 so far) and is busy wedding planning with her fiancée. Her family and I are huge Portland Thorns fans, attending every home game each season.

Here’s what Caitlin had to share about his life and time at OnPoint:

What were you doing before joining OnPoint or taking on your current role?

Before OnPoint, I worked in elementary schools as a recess and after-school coach, and during the summers, I worked at a camp in the Sierra Nevada mountains.

What is something that you can’t live without?

Sandals. Outside of work or the gym, I wear sandals year-round to avoid wet socks.

Nacho from Nacho Libre. I enjoyed using items from my family’s closets for the costume.

If you could be on any TV game show, which would it be?

The Traitors. The challenges in a Scottish castle would be exciting.

What’s the one thing you’ve waited in line the longest for?

A Disney ride, specifically Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout at California Adventure, holds my longest wait so far.

What’s one professional or personal skill you wish you had that you don’t?

I wish I were bilingual. It’s such a cool and important skill to have in work and life. I would love to speak French; it’s such a pretty language.
