The OnPoint Spotlight is an ongoing blog series that highlights our employees, celebrating the drive and personality of individuals on our team. It’s one way we show our appreciation for their hard work and achievements while helping our community get to know the people who make things happen here at OnPoint.
This week’s employee spotlight is on Scout Haider, Member Service Representative at the Sherwood Branch. Scout started working at OnPoint a year and a half ago as Teller. My goals within my current role are to provide excellent service to members and give them a person they can contact at OnPoint. Scout has been married for five years and has two girls, ages six and three.
Here’s what Scout had to share about his life and time at OnPoint:
What were you doing before joining OnPoint or taking on your current role?
I started working in the automotive field at age 16 with Ford and Mercedes-Benz dealerships as a Service Advisor. I began with OnPoint as a Teller before becoming Branch Service Specialist and then transitioning to Member Service Representative. I recently had the chance to be the DNA Champion for my branch.
What is your dream car?
A 1970 International Scout like the one that’s in my garage. It will see the road one day!
Do you have pets?
I have two dogs, Siberian Husky named Shadow and a St. Bernard named Mouse.
Which sports team is your favorite?
The Portland Trailblazers or Seattle Seahawks! I go to games whenever the opportunity comes up!
What is your most memorable vacation?
My wife and I spent our honeymoon exploring Italy, and I still think about it today! We spent a week traveling through Rome, Florence and Venice.
What do you enjoy most about working at OnPoint?
The amount of support from everyone! There have been various opportunities to excel and learn about the industry. It’s been a bonus for me living and working in the same community and being able to help those that live in the same town as me.
