KGW School Supply Drive 2020

Our Community Comes Together to Support Students and Teachers

This summer, OnPoint will once again become a driving force in supporting the KGW School Supply Drive. As we assist our children’s return to school, we understand that this year will present many unique challenges for students—no matter what form classes take in the fall. During this time of increased economic uncertainty, purchasing new school supplies has put an even greater financial strain on many families.

Half of the students in our community begin school lacking the necessary supplies to thrive. For the past 13 years, OnPoint has supported the KGW School Supply Drive. In 2019, supplies were distributed in 75 individual school districts to more than 26,000 students.

Make your donation at an OnPoint branch

From now through August 28, OnPoint will accept monetary donations for the supply drive at any of our branches. A $25 donation will help cover the cost of supplies for one student for the entire school year. Want to really maximize your donation? From August 3 to August 8, for every $1 donated at an OnPoint branch, we will contribute an additional $5. This means if you donate $25 during that week, our match will turn your donation into $150—providing supplies for up to six students for the full year!

Due to the uncertainty surrounding the national health crisis and our desire to prioritize the health and safety of our members, community, employees, and school supply drive volunteers, we will only be accepting monetary donations at our branches this year. Same as previous years, all financial contributions will stay in the community in which the donation was made.
