The OnPoint Spotlight is an ongoing blog series that highlights our employees, celebrating the drive and personality of individuals on our team. It’s one way we show our appreciation for their hard work and achievements while helping our community get to know the people who make things happen here at OnPoint.
This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Joelle Jackson, our Teller Operations Supervisor. Joelle joined OnPoint on June 19, 2018, and has made quite an impact since then. Having recently moved to Central Oregon with her husband and their pets, Joelle is settling into her new home in Redmond and enjoying the local community. Let’s dive into her story and get to know her a bit better!
What were you doing before joining OnPoint or taking on your current role?
Before starting at OnPoint, I worked at a fishing department store where I sold fishing licenses and handled the customer service desk. It was a great experience, but I was excited for a new challenge when I joined OnPoint.
What other positions have you held with OnPoint?
I started my journey with OnPoint as a Teller and then progressed to a Branch Service Specialist. After that, I took on the role of Teller Coordinator, and now I’m thrilled to be serving as a Teller Operations Supervisor. Each role has been a stepping stone, helping me grow and learn.
Can you share something about your experience with the company and your goals in your current role?
Since moving to Central Oregon, the Bend South branch has been incredibly welcoming. I’m genuinely grateful to be part of such a supportive team. In my current role, I’m focused on continuing to build on our excellent service and finding ways to enhance our operations even further. My long-term goal is to become a branch manager, and I’m excited about the journey ahead.
What’s something fun or interesting about you that people might not know?
I’m an enthusiastic pet parent to Hank, a four-year-old grey cat, and Jax, a six-year-old dog. They’re a big part of our family and add a lot of joy to our lives.
Can you list some of your favorite things?
Watermelon is definitely my favorite fruit! It’s refreshing and perfect for those warm summer days.
My favorite movie has to be The Batman (2022), I love its dark, intense storyline and compelling characters.
Controversial opinion but I’m a big fan of Hawaiian pizza. The combination of sweet pineapple and savory ham is just perfect.
What are your career aspirations?
One of my goal is to become a branch manager in the near future. I’ve loved working at OnPoint for the past six years, and I’m looking forward to working hard to achieve my goals and continuing to contribute to my wonderful OnPoint team.
Anything else we should know about you?
Of course, only that I’m incredibly excited about our new home in Redmond and eager to continue growing with OnPoint.
