The OnPoint Spotlight is an ongoing blog series that highlights our employees, celebrating the drive and personality of individuals on our team. It’s one way we show our appreciation for their hard work and achievements while helping our community get to know the people who make things happen here at OnPoint.

This week’s employee spotlight is on Tanya Glushkova, Teller Sr., at our Vancouver Waterfront Branch. Nineteen years ago, my family and I emigrated from Ukraine. We enjoy taking trips to the beach very often and find adventures along the way. I have a fraternal twin sister, yet a lot of people say we’re identical. We love visiting cute coffee shops, watching movies, and going on drives.

Here’s what Tanya had to share about her life and time at OnPoint:

What were you doing before joining OnPoint or taking on your current role?

I worked in retail clothing for four and a half years before coming to OnPoint. When I started, I was working as a Teller at the 205 Place Branch, and after ten months, I applied to the Vancouver Waterfront Branch to be closer to home. I was recently promoted to Teller, Sr. and I plan to advance my knowledge with the goal of moving into the Branch Service Specialist position.

What is your favorite season?

I have two favorite seasons that I can’t choose from—late spring and early fall. Late spring because that’s when everything is blooming and it’s getting warmer. Late fall because of the transition into cooler weather and the changing colors. I also love the warm drinks and the fall fashion!

If you have pets, what kinds and what are their names?

I have a cat named Daisy. She is so cute and cuddly and has a little hook-like tail, which made my dad nickname her “Little Pirate”. We also have a neighborhood cat that visits us often that my family nicknamed “Murzik”, a common name for cats. He’s very sweet and randomly sits down and raises his paw, which is the cutest thing.

Who would play you in the movie adaptation of your life?

I would love if either Anne Hathaway or Audrey Hepburn would play me in a movie adaptation of my life.

What do you like on your pizza?

I know people have a lot of opinions about having fruit on your pizza, but I love pineapple and ham. Hawaiian pizza is my favorite, especially from Dominos!

What do you enjoy most about working at OnPoint?

You are always learning something new, which always makes it fun! I also enjoy visiting other branches to help out and meet new peers and members.
