employee spotlight interview with Rick McEvoy

Employee Spotlight with Rick McEvoy

The OnPoint spotlight is an ongoing blog series that highlights our employees and takes a closer look at the drive and personality of individuals on the OnPoint team. It is one way we show our appreciation for their hard work and achievements while helping our community get to know the people who make things happen here at OnPoint.

This week’s employee spotlight is on Rick McEvoy, who joined OnPoint as a Branch Manager in June of this year. He is excited to take on his new role here at OnPoint’s McMinnville Branch where he will lead a team in taking care of our members in the McMinnville community.

Here is what he had to share about his life and experiences with OnPoint:

Tell us a little about yourself.

I met my wife Andrea while we were going to college and we have been married for 27 years. We have no children, but we have always had dogs! We have two English Setters, Adaline and Olivia. Some of my favorite pastimes include reading, gardening, bird hunting and fly fishing. Adaline is my hunting companion.

What were you doing before joining OnPoint?

Before coming to work at OnPoint, I worked for Columbia Bank over the past 15 years, and I have been in the financial industry for almost 30 years! I am excited to take on my new role at OnPoint and continue to create a place where employees are excited to come to work and give their best to our members every day.

What is your favorite season?

My favorite season is fall—there are so many beautiful days. The trees start to turn colors and the weather is not too hot, but not too cold. Then there is the anticipation of the coming holidays—not to mention it’s soup season!

What is your favorite movie?

The Breakfast Club.

Where is your favorite place in the world?

My favorite place in the world would be standing in a stream with the water rushing by while fly fishing.

How would you describe your team in one word?

Driven.
